The Cathedral Domain is in Lee County. It is reached from the west by leaving I-75 at Richmond, taking the Bypass (US 25) around Richmond, and then East on route 52 to Irvine, Ravenna and on to the Domain.  Alternatively, from I-64 near Winchester take the Mountain Parkway to the Powell Valley exit and go South on route 82 to Irvine and take route 52 East to the Domain. Watch for a large sign on the left a mile or so after you enter Lee County.

Detail Directions:

From Interstate 75: Take exit 90A South on Highway 421/25 approximately 5 miles. Turn left onto Highway 52 towards Irvine. After crossing the Kentucky River in Irvine, turn Right at the first traffic light. Continue on Highway 52 through Irvine and Ravenna. On the East end of Ravenna Highway 52 turns left. You could continue on 52 to Highway 1746 or take the following route which is shorter, straighter, and easier. ***

*** In Ravenna where Hwy 52 turns left, continue straight on Highway 1571. After 1/4 mile you will go under a railroad overpass. Turn left at the stop sign and continue on Hwy 1571 for about 5 miles to where it dead ends at Hwy 52. Turn right onto Hwy 52 and go 6 miles. Turn left when you reach Highway 1746. It goes up a steep hill and ends at the Cathedral Domain.

From Interstate 64: Take the Mountain Parkway South from Winchester 16 miles to the Clay City exit. Turn left off the exit onto Highway 15. After 1/4 mile turn right at the traffic light onto Highway 82. Hwy 82 will end after about 8 miles at Highway 89. Turn left onto Hwy 89 and go 7 miles into Irvine. Turn left at the second traffic light onto Highway 52. Follow the underlined directions above.

From Eastern Kentucky Areas: Take the Mountain Parkway North to the Slade Exit. Turn left onto Highway 11 towards Beattyville. After about 13 miles (before you get to Beattyville) turn right onto Highway 498. It is about 4 miles long and ends at Hwy 52. Turn right onto Hwy 52 and  go 7 miles. Turn right onto Highway 1746 and follow it up the hill into the Domain.
