The complete 2010 Dream Budget PDF files are found below. This file contains the Mission and Ministry, Domain, Reading Camp, Small Church Ministry and St. Agnes House budgets. The only budget drafted by the Budget Committee is the one for Mission and Ministry. All other budgets were drafted by the respective boards and submitted to the committee.
The Budget Committee requested and received income information from the Finance Committee and funding requests from diocesan departments, commissions, committees and ministries. Pursuant to the guidelines established by Executive Council, all funding requests have been included without adjustments. In order to be as transparent as possible, the comment section of the budget provides information about the funding requests by line item.
There are several new funding requests this year, each if which is noted as “New Line Item”. Because the Social Security Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) was zero for 2010, there are no cost of living increases for any of the staff. One format change for this year is the placement of “Funding for Future Events” below the line.
We encourage you to review the Dream Budget and hope that that many of you will attend one of the scheduled hearings. We ask that you complete the feedback form at a hearing or on-line at the link listed below. This is your opportunity to provide input into this process.
The Budget Committee will meet after the hearings and draft a balanced budget, which will be presented to Executive Council at its January 30 meeting. Pursuant to the guidelines, the committee will evaluate “…budget requests made based on comments received and its understanding of mission priorities in consultation with the Bishop.”
