LAY NOMINEES FOR EXECUTIVE COUNCIL

Jan Courtney

St. Peter’s, Paris

Personal Statement: I have experience in corporate quality, finance and employee supervision from my 35 year career at IBM / Lexmark Corp. I have expertise in funding and budget planning from my years as a local school board chairman. I am skilled in leading people from different perspectives toward a common goal.

 

David Davidson
St. Martha’s, Lexington

Personal Statement:  I am an attorney and can bring legal skills to my work on the Executive Council.  Experience as Chancellor of the Diocese gave me much insight into the proper functioning of the Diocese.  I am very familiar with the Canons of the Episcopal Church and the Diocese of Lexington.

 

Pam Knight

St. Patrick’s, Somerset

Personal Statement:  I am an organized, enthusiastic leader but also a hard working volunteer.  I bring a diversified work background – banking, teaching, business- and excitement about supporting our Diocese, bringing my understanding and experience as the first lay chair of the Commission on Ministry and other church work into service on Council.

 

Virginia Robbins Bugg

Trinity, Danville

Personal Statement:  I believe

that as a life-long Episcopalian, Parish Administrator and Christian Formation director I have been blessed with Financial and Organizational skills that will help promote and support the Diocese and its parishes. I believe I can help strengthen our Diocesan programs and finances.

St. Andrew’s, Fort Thomas

Personal Statement:  I work for the Department of the Treasury, Internal Revenue Service with ten years of financial experience.  I am an experienced listener and decision maker helping businesses and churches make strong financial decisions.

 

Mary Jane Younce

St. James’, Prestonsburg

Personal Statement:  Past and current Sr. Warden, have a very positive outlook and am excited to see direction Christ will be leading our church, love listening to and prayerfully solving challenges currently before us. Experience from U.S. District Court, organizational skills, stickler for details positive addition to any endeavor this Diocese undertakes.
